You will need:
Crack all of the eggs into a bowl, and whisk them until they are smooth, then add in the milk or cream and whisk them some more
Chop the onion to add to the mixture
Chop the parsley and toss it in as well
Next add in a little less then half of the cheese to the bowl… once it is all mixed together then pour it into your pie crust..
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, until the top becomes fully cooked and the quiche is solid…

Today’s Bonus Item is delicious homemade granola
You will need:
– Combine all of these ingredients in a large bowl… I used 5 cups of oats, a bag of coconut, a cup or nuts and a few shakes of cinnamon
Then on the stove top combine 1/2 cup of olive oil and a cup of honey… stir this over a low flame until it gets all bubbly…
Then pour it over the oats mixture
Spread it on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven for 30 minutes mixing it up every ten minutes until it is toasted…
Thanks to HomeStead Revival for the idea
New This week… Herb Bouquet… We have been informed that not everyone uses the cut herbs in the bags, and that some people love them… So here is how we hope to keep everyone happy…
At each location there will be an herb jar… every week it will vary as to what herbs are in it… If you love cooking with them, then you can take some sprigs from the bouquet, if you don’t use them then you don’t have to , and you will not feel wasteful…
This Weeks Herb Vase Will Have:
We spent the afternoon in the gardens despite the rain we were able to get some picking done… We picked fresh snap peas… I ate almost as many as went into my basket… these guys are so delicious fresh off the vine…
Examined the summer squash, The yellow squash has so so so many blooms on it… as long as the weather, and the animals stay away we will all be eating plenty of summer squash.. zucchini included… Get those cooking ideas ready…
The kohlrabi is at its peek for the first round that we planted, round two should be ready next week
The cabbage is looking amazing, there was some loss to the deer, they have to eat too, but if all goes well we will also have lots of cabbage!!
